A Weekend in Athens, Georgia: Part 2
Celia and I spent the weekend in Athens a few days ago, but before I start going through pictures from that trip, I guess I should share the rest of my photos from our visit a few weeks ago.
We’ve really grown fond of the Boulevard/Normaltown neighborhoods. I really like the eclectic/artsy vibe mixed with the historic homes and buildings in the area. It’s kind of what we hoped our own neighborhood would become back when we bought our second home in Hampton Heights over 20 years ago. At some point, Hampton Heights went in a different direction, but that’s a discussion for another day.
Back to these photos… none of these are really “portfolio material” which is why they’re here, rather than on my home page. They’re just meant to give a glimpse of the neighborhood from my perspective. Most of these images are from an early Sunday morning coffee walk around the neighborhood, and in our home away from home, before we headed back to Spartanburg. Please leave a comment below if you have any thoughts on the photos, or if you have suggestions on things to check out next time we’re in Athens. I hope you enjoy!
